The challenge
The console booted — fans spinning, controller pairing — but every cable and TV gave the same "No Signal". A replacement console was on the cards until it was diagnosed properly.
What we did
A quick check confirmed the tell-tale signs of a failed HDMI port: damaged pins and no output regardless of cable. Rather than replace the whole machine, we carried out a board-level repair — desoldering the damaged port and fitting a new one under magnification, then testing across resolutions.
The result
The PS5 was back to full 4K output, with all the owner's games and saves untouched — at a fraction of the cost of a new console.
